Gelbe Hand - Democracy in Crafts

For our customer “Yellow Hand — Don't turn on my buddy! — for equal treatment, against racism e.V.” we have created a series of three mixed-media short films in cut-out style. These learning nuggets are part of the competence network “Promoting Democracy in Vocational Education” and address democracy and everyday life, conflicts and dialogue, as well as neutrality and attitude in education. The films are aimed at trainers and offer action-oriented and practical approaches to promoting democracy.

Animation technology and coloring

Our films rely on the characteristic cut-out animation technique, which creates a dynamic yet accessible visual style through the use of cut-out elements. This technique offers a simple but effective way of presenting the learning content in a clear and understandable way. In combination with the “Yellow Hand” corporate design — strong shades of yellow and black — the films reinforce the message of equal treatment and anti-racism. The color scheme underlines the urgency of the topics and creates strong visual recognition.

The movies

1. Democracy and Everyday Life

(Link video 1)

This film deals with how democratic processes can be integrated into everyday business life and what role trainers play in democracy education. The aim is to raise awareness of the importance of democracy in companies and to promote social skills.

2. Conflict and Dialogue(Link video 2)

The second film focuses on dealing with conflicts and anti-democratic statements. Using the iceberg model, it is shown how trainers can mediate in difficult conversations. The film provides practical strategies for dialogue and moderation in challenging situations.

3. Neutrality and Attitude(Link video 3)

The third film is about the role of trainers in terms of neutrality and freedom of opinion. It highlights when female trainers must take a stand and how they can professionally deal with controversial statements.

These animated short films offer a flexible and compact opportunity to impart essential knowledge to promote democracy and are aimed in particular at craft trades with a limited time budget.
