For Enpal, we have developed a 3D animated explanatory film that conveys the concept of the virtual power plant in a comprehensible and modern way. The starting point was an intensive examination of the product and the background of the energy revolution. Together with the customer, we defined the objectives of the film — simply explaining complex content and arousing the desire for solar power — as well as the target group: homeowners aged 40 and over.
In the design process, various 3D environments were designed and tested to find a look & feel that conveys both technical depth and emotional closeness. Based on this, we developed the narrator texts and designed all visual worlds. In doing so, we combined abstract elements such as market mechanisms and graphs with concrete representations of products in real living environments.
The sound design was used specifically to reinforce visual accents and provide atmospheric support for the narrative. The result was a film that makes technical content accessible, visually convincing and clearly communicates Enpal's vision — a decentralized, collaborative energy future.
