With the 17 sustainability goals of the 2030 Agenda, the United Nations has presented a roadmap for global sustainable development. Goal 11 makes municipalities directly responsible — because the global goals must be implemented here at local level. In addition, cities, districts and municipalities, as levels closest to citizens, make sustainable action tangible.
In addition to local involvement, municipalities can benefit from joint projects and the exchange of experiences with their partners in the Global South. The Municipalities in the One World Service Center supports you in your commitment to globally sustainable development.
The information film shows in several examples how local action has global effects. All municipalities around the world can learn from each other and make a positive impact through sustainable action not only locally — but everywhere. Various examples show what this actually looks like. People, organizations and communities are addressed equally.
The design must be able to reach a wide range of viewers. It was important to show specific examples, but also to show abstract processes and dependencies at the same time. The presentation of the municipality was therefore an important point, because this is where abstract and concrete come together.
