Daycare centers, all-day schools, hospitals, geriatric care facilities and, last but not least, workshops for disabled people: they are all basic building blocks of our society. In 5 lovingly designed films, we provide information about how these institutions are financed and what challenges they face. The aim is to make it clear to viewers why it is worthwhile (even in times of crisis) to financially support these institutions.
ABOUT THE SERIES: SHOWCASE DIAKONIE RWL
At the end of the day, it is important to enable individuals to live a dignified life, regardless of whether they visit an institution or work in it. That is why we placed great emphasis on representing a range of different people. Young or old, big or small, depressed or relaxed. The inner lives of the characters come out again and again in the films, so viewers can better empathize with them.
We are particularly proud of our portrayal of a person with trisomy 21, as people with intellectual disabilities rarely appear in animated explanatory videos.
